Century 21 refocuses on growth in Quebec, names new VP of operations

Centrury 21 Canada has appointed Sebastien Bonnerot as the new vice president of Quebec operations as part of its broader strategy to reinvest resources in its Quebec brokerages and facilitate growth within the province.

Bonnerot began his career in real estate in 2010 with a brokerage that would go on to join Century 21 Canada. “I invested in real estate and took on my license without knowing if I really wanted to be an agent, but I fell in love with it right away,” Bonnerot explains. His enthusiasm for the industry led to him opening his own brokerage, Century 21 Elite, in 2015.

In response to a decline in agent numbers over the years, Bonnerot recognized the importance of addressing Quebec’s unique needs and proposed running the company’s operations in the province with a localized approach. His primary focus has been sourcing bilingual tools and technology compliant with Quebec’s language laws, thereby better serving French-first agents in the region.

Currently, Century Canada operates with 22 brokerages in Quebec, with 375 agents.

Bonnerot says his immediate goals involve supporting all Century 21 brokers in Quebec and offering virtual assistance to agents without physical offices but interested in affiliating with the brand. He aims to see the number of agents in Quebec return to previous levels, targeting 1000 agents. Additionally, Bonnerot intends to foster community engagement among franchises, encouraging involvement in local events and charitable initiatives.

Gavin Heintz of Century 21 Advantage in Red Deer, Alta. was recently named the No. 1 Century 21 producer by units in the world in 2019. Heintz accepted his award at the Century 21 global conference in Los Angeles.

Century 21 Multi-Services Inc. in Gatineau merges with Century 21 Élite.

The former Century 21 Multi-Services Inc. in Gatineau, Que. has merged with Century 21 Élite.

Sebastien Bonnerot and Rachel Viau opened Century 21 Élite in 2015. They started off with four agents and have grown to a team of 20 agents. The merger adds another 16 agents to the team. Century 21 Élite’s main office is in Cantley and it now has a second office in Hull.

“Change is always something we have embraced. This merger has given us the momentum to rebrand, push our boundaries and become a powerhouse in Quebec. Our focus is on training our agents and building a strong team. We are hoping to have five to 10 more agents join our team by the end of 2019,” says Bonnerot.

“I have been with Century 21 for 19 years and I am looking forward to joining Century 21 Élite with my agents,” says Gilbert Brisson, former owner of Century 21 Multi-Services. “I am sure our agents and clients will be in good hands. I know Rachel and Seb will continue to deliver the gold standard as they take over in Hull and Maniwaki.”

Century 21 Élite opens in Cantley, Que.

Rachel Viau and Sébastien Bonnerot, with a combined 15 years of real estate industry experience, recently opened Century 21 Élite in Cantley, Que.

“The visibility and proximity to the community has allowed us to focus on building a tight team of new-age Realtors – elites within the industry,” says Bonnerot. “Over 17,000 cars drive past the front doors daily. It was a simple decision to open here both for our clients’ convenience and exposure for their listings.”

The owners have been recognized nationally for their high level of service and results. Bonnerot earned the Double Centurion Producer award in 2014 and Centurion Producer sales awards in 2013 and 2012. Viau earned the Century 21 Masters Silver in 2014 and Masters Emerald 2013 for sales success. She brings more than 10 years of experience serving the real estate needs of the local market.
